bunandcheese: If we allow society to educate our girls, they will believe into adulthood that their value is primarily, if not only, based on physical appearance. This could not be farther from the truth. Our girls must be encouraged and told that they are brilliant…not “brilliant like boys”…but brilliant people who are allowed to let their minds run wild with academic poise, creativity, and love and acceptance for others who are alike and different. It’s not wrong to tell a woman she is beautiful, but take the time to recognize that there is so much more to her. Well said. The best compliments I get are about my personality or my achievements.
